Course overview
An exam-focused week designed to repeat, strengthen and refine the practical and theoretical skills required for Yachtmaster examination standard.
This week does not follow a fixed syllabus. It is structured to go through the requested examination skills, strengthen confidence, and support final preparation before the exam at the end of the week.

Pre-experience requirements
- Yachtmaster Coastal: 30 days, 2 days as skipper, 800 miles, 12 night hours
- Reduced to 20 days, 2 skipper days, 400 miles, 12 night hours with Coastal Skipper certificate
- Yachtmaster Offshore: 50 days, 2,500 miles, qualifying passages and skipper experience
- At least half of qualifying sea time must be in tidal waters
- Navigation knowledge to Yachtmaster Shorebased level required
- Successfully completed RYA Coastal/Yachtmaster Theory course required
- Recognised VHF radio certificate required
- Recognised First Aid qualification required
